CCHR records all Community Hearings and Public Forums. They are later edited for quality purposes and broken down into three 1 hour programs that are broadcast on 7 radio stations across Cambodia. The 1 hour programs are comprised of 55 minutes of recorded dialogue and 5 minutes on Cambodian Laws and Legislation that relate to the issues being raised by members of the community. There is one additional 1 hour broadcast live every Saturday and Sunday where invited guest discuss human rights violations and address specific legal and strategic questions and concerns raised by community members at Hearings or Forums, or sometimes during a CCHR facilitated training event, in the context of Cambodian Law. Each Community Hearing and Public Forum is broadcast 3 times.
Community Hearings and Public Forums are also often broadcast live on Radio Free Asia (RFA), Voice of Democracy (VOD) and Voice of America (VOA).

Public Forum in Siem Reap (19 July 2012)

| Around 150 villagers from Chi Kraeng commune participated public forum on “Human Rights and Development”, arranged by Cambodian Center for Human Rights on 19 July 2012 in Chan Bopharam pagoda, Phneat village, Chi Kraeng commune, Chi Kraeng district, Siem Reap province. There were three main issues raised in the forum were the first villagers requested for infrastructure (road, well, toilet, pump station…). The second villagers raised the unconventional cases befell during the recent commune election. The third was the most concerns and the long linger on land conflict in which 175 families in Chi Kraeng commune were claiming that they have lost their 475 farm land since2008. As the results of the forum; however, district governor and commune chief urged villagers to do the list of landless families to commune office which would submit the list to provincial hall. Anyways, villagers could send their message (requests, and issues) through invited lawmaker to raise awareness to National Assembly and RGC. |

Public Forum In Preah Vihear

| On 12 July 2012, the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”) organized a public forum on “Human Rights and Law” in Pakdei Wat, Pakdei Wat village, Trach commune, Chey Sen district, Preah Vihear province. There were 220 villagers, 148 of whom were women, attending the forum. The attended guest speakers were representatives from provincial and district authorities, parliamentarians, and relevant institutions. In the forum, there were 16 villagers, 4 of whom were women, raised about the important issues relating to people not having land for farming, old ponds being filled, destroying the mountain. The questions was raise, where is the social land concession, and in what area will it be located? “Another concern raised was the powerful people who are damaging crop plantation of the people." Some villagers were prohibited to join in the training on human rights and law. |

Ending Acid Violence and Discrimination on Acid Survivors

| CCHR hosted a public forum on "Ending Acid Violence and Discrimination on Acid Survivors" conducted on May 19, 2012 in Kampong Cham Province.
The reason CCHR chose this province because the high rate of acid attack that occurred due to the availability of acid used in rubber plantation. There were 172 participants from Youth Networks and Universities, as well as some representative from Civil Society attending this Forum. |

Public Forum in Battambang (03 May 2012)

| Cambodian Center for Human Rights organized a public forum on Human Rights and Development in May 03, 2012 at Boeung Pi point, Krape Seseb village, Lvea commune, Bavel district, Battambang province, participated by 450 people. The main key speakers joined the forum comprised of: H.E Sean Sout Thang, Battambang Deputy Provincial Governor, H.E Ream Sarin, Banteay Mean Chey Deputy Provincial Governor, H.E Ham Mony, Member of Battambang Provincial Council, Mr. Ke Vin, Chief of Takong Commune, Malai district, Banteay Mean Chey Province, Mr. Ung Somithi, LICADHO’s Banteay Mean Chey Office Coordinator. At the forum, villagers raised some questions related to the injunction issued by Battambang Judge, Mr. Sa Ouen Kosal Mony on 29 February 2012 that offered Oknha Song Thorn and two other men, Tun Bunthoeun and Khun Tehsy, the right to enjoy on 638 hectares of land currently farmed by some 300 families along the boundary of Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces.
Villagers requested the authorities to solve with the injunction issued by Battambang’s Judge and also requested for social land concession school and health center.
