On the afternoon of 27 March 2013, Mr. Vann Sophath, Project Coordinator of the Land Reform Project at the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”), was informed by Ms. Yong Sophorn, a villager residing in the Andong relocation site for evictees, that she had been harassed by the local authorities, including the community leader, as a result of her involvement in a research visit recently made to Andong by CCHR.

On 29 March 2013, a roundtable discussion on the topic of ‘Investment Projects and Land Concessions in Cambodia’ will be hosted in Koh Kong province. This discussion is organized in cooperation between the NGO Forum on Cambodia (“NGOF”), the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”) and the Community Legal Education Center (“CLEC”). Representatives of the media are also invited to attend the roundtable discussion.
