The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (“CCHR”) is a non-aligned, independent, non-governmental organization (“NGO”) that works to promote and protect democracy and respect for human rights – primarily civil and political rights - in Cambodia. CCHR operates a Fair Trial Rights Project (“the FTR Project”), which monitors criminal trials in Cambodian courts and assesses their adherence to international and Cambodian fair trial standards.  

To ensure an evidence-based approach, CCHR has already developed an online database system which is hosted under the CCHR Sithi Portal with integration into the Trial Monitoring Database Portal (TMP portal), to store all data collected from the trial monitoring. Such data is used for the publication of research and advocacy purposes. The project analyzes data collected from court monitoring in order to assess their adherence to international and Cambodian fair trial standards. However, the existing database has some issues regarding errors, gender, rights, offenses filters, outdated data storing program, is not user-friendly, and needs some necessary information to be added. In order to address these issues, CCHR will hire external experts to work on a contract-basis with CCHR to ensure that the data could be used accurately, safely and accessed in a user-friendly way.

• Interested candidates are requested to submit the applications by 20 February 2025 at 5.00 pm.
• Applications should consist of:
  1. CV/Resume (maximum 3 pages)
  2. Cover letter (maximum 1 page)-applications should emphasize demonstrable success against the competencies required);
  3. Maximum 5-page summary outlining the proposed method for providing the proposal within the allocated time and budget.
